01.07 - Pedalling 180 miles in 4 days for Young Leaders!

Sara Schumacher and Zi-Su Kim, two of our Innovista staff team, get ready for their sponsored bike ride from London to Paris.

The best thing about this venture is that our budding cyclists are turning a bog-standard sponsored bike ride into a 2.0 interactive online experience. So, if you are interested in sponsoring them, you will be able to follow their adventures of curious cows and alien cheeses, throughout their four-day trip from London to Paris happening 2-5 July 2009. The multimedia extravaganza will feature video updates, a daily audio diary, regular photo updates and an interactive blog. (http://leadingforlife.wordpress.com/ )

Sara and Zi-Su will be gathering material en route and will edit it directly from their laptop as they work their way from guesthouse to ferry to campsite. Their comments and reflections will then be sent back to ‘Innovista Mission Control’ in the UK before immediately being posted online.

We are hoping to raise £6,000 through this venture in order to offer six strategic young leaders from Albania, Romania and Kyrgyzstan opportunities to attend the Leading for Life 2009 conference in Vienna. Money raised will also go towards the development of post-conference resources that will be used by hundreds of other leaders.
